Deutsche Börse 2015: South African photographer Zanele Muholi's portraits of LGBTI people persecuted for their sexuality

Faces and Phases 2006-14, the book that has earned her a nomination for this year's Deutsche Börse Photography Prize, the South African 'visual activist' Zanele Muholi suggests I look at the back first. If you've been to a party or wedding that had a photo booth then you'll know how popular, and even addictive they can be for the guests. If you haven’t seen one before don't worry, a photo booth at your event will add something completely different and special to the day and the photographs that are produced can be enjoyed for many years to come. If you are organising a wedding or party this year click on the link to see lots of good information on Best London Photo Booth. There I find a detailed time line with examples of the political and personal hatred that LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex) people have faced from as far back as 1700.
